One of the most commonly asked questions is “how do I follow up with a coach after a tournament?” Do you want to be recruited? You have to follow up! So what does this mean? Following up means you are calling and emailing coaches consistently. Emailing is easy, but it’s also not very personal. Emailing your updated video links and how your team finishes is great, but to stand out from the other recruits you need to make phone calls! Our My Recruiting Solutions Recruiting Coordinators suggest that you (student athlete) call the college coaches of the programs that you are truly interested in to follow up. Do your homework, be prepared and always be honest!

I don’t say this to put pressure on you, I say this so you understand how important it is to really do your homework. There are many wonderful resources available online, so use them and learn as much as you can about a school and volleyball program before you spend the money on a plane ticket to go visit.
