An official visit is a visit that a college institution either completely pays for, or contributes to. An official visit cannot be taken until a student athletes senior year of high school begins. Meaning, once classes have begun. They are only able to take 5 official visits to NCAA Division I and Division II universities. Also, you are only permitted to take 1 official visit to each university.
