College Volleyball Programs Still Actively Recruiting for 2014:
My name is Kara Hill, and I am a college volleyball recruiting expert located in Southern California. I work with student athletes from all over the world who wish to play volleyball at the college level. I own My Recruiting Solutions, and am the official recruiting coordinator for Texas Advantage Volleyball Club in Dallas. Each season, college coaches email me who are still actively recruiting for the senior class. This is a list of college programs in no particular order who have shared their interest with me. I will continue to expand on this list as programs share interest, so be sure to continue to check back for more updates.
If you are emailing a coach on this list, please make sure you send an email between 6-8 sentences long introducing yourself. Do not send any attachments, bios, or images. Keep it very simple. Include your gpa, test scores, club team, coach, video, potential major, and why you are interested in their program! Do not email a coach without video, as it’s imperative for them to be able to evaluate you fairly for their program! If you do not have video footage, please contact me right away. Out of respect for the coaches who have generously shared this information, I would appreciate you following protocol when it comes to this process.
If you feel you need some guidance on how to appropriately follow up with a coach who has shown interest, or are in need of a more personalized approach to the recruiting process, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly by emailing [email protected] or call me at 888-354-0052.

In the last three years, our volleyball program has experienced great success as we have won our league championship and competed in the NAIA national tournament in Iowa. Last season was an especially exciting journey as we beat numerous ranked NAIA teams and swept the DII team on our schedule, which brought us to our current ranking of No. 17. You can go on-line at www.iwuwildcats.com<http://www.iwuwildcats.com/> and check out our program. Also if you would like to take a tour of our University you can go to www.indwes.edu<http://www.indwes.edu/>.
A little about me and the team: I truly believe that we have something special going here, which is why I chose to coach at IWU. My biggest focus is on mentorship and the relationships I get to develop with my players.
The love and compassion that is shown by the staff to the team through servant leadership is so clearly reflected in their relationships with each other. Our girls are a very warm and accepting group that works hard but also has a lot of fun. They have very giving hearts and several want to go into medical missions after graduation. Our team is very excited about our upcoming 2014 season and working very hard in the spring season to continue our successful ways.
What we offer here, in short, is a quality Christ-Centered Education that is coupled with a strong volleyball program.

We have a small school environment – about 2700 students, with 24 sports. We have many academic area majors as well as Masters programs. Adams State has one of the best playing environments in our conference – we have “packed” our gym. This is my 9th year at Adams State – my 30th year coaching. 717-361-1472
We still have room for one or two prospects in the middle, right side, and outside hitting positions. Elizabethtown College is a highly selective academic institution in Central PA. Our volleyball program is perennially a conference and regional contender. Year in and year out we successfully navigate the most competitive schedule we can put together. We work hard to strike a strong balance between highly-competitive athletics and rigorous academics. One of the best things I like about Elizabethtown College is our ability to prepare students for the next step. We’re phenomenal at graduate school placement and just as remarkable at placing graduates directly into their careers.

Nestled in the mountains of West Virginia, Davis & Elkins is a small liberal arts college with a big reputation! Our students thrive on a caring combination of personal attention, academic challenge, and real-life experience. Related to the Presbyterian Church (USA), we are located in Elkins, 2 hours east of Charleston, 3 hours south of Pittsburgh and 4 hours west of Washington, DC. It’s some of the most scenic country in the eastern U.S. – accented with a vibrant arts scene and great tourism destinations. You can choose from more than 30 academic programs at D&E (Majors Offered: http://www.dewv.edu/academics/academic-programs). Most graduates pursue a four-year Baccalaureate degree but many enroll in our Associate degree programs, such as Criminology or Nursing. Majors range from the traditional arts and sciences to professional studies – including Teacher Education – as well as innovative programs such as Sustainability Studies and Hospitality and Tourism Management. Pre-professional programs prepare students for admission to schools of medicine, dentistry, forestry, the ministry, occupational therapy, pharmacy and law. The Honors Program offers an extra challenge.

We are looking for an OH, RS, and possibly a MB for the 2014 season. I do have scholarships available. Bethel is located in McKenzie, TN. This is a small town about halfway between Memphis and Nashville. It’s a 2 hour drive each way. We offer many different major but some of our popular ones include education, nursing, athletic training, biology and criminal justice. Our volleyball program is very competitive. We have a great group of girls who are working to compete at the national tournament. We work hard but have fun doing it. Our team is very close and is friends on and off the court. It’s such a blessing to teams year after year who have fun together. They share the same goals on the court and realize they can compete against each other for position without resentment. This is only a small glimpse of what we can offer. If you are interested we would be happy to go into more detail.

1st year with the program and qualified for post season for the first time in 13 years. NCAA Division 3, not athletic scholarships, academic, merit and financial aid only; still recruiting for 2014 season in need of middles, still looking for setter and outsides with ball control.
Hollins University
NCAA Division 3
Bill Shook
540-362-6329
Yes, we are usually recruiting the senior class up through May. (always looking for that last good player that has fallen between the cracks due to a variety of reasons: injuries, change of mind, multi-sport athletes having trouble deciding what sport they want to focus on, etc.) We do have several multi-sport athletes here at Hollins and that may be a good fit for some of those seniors that are still looking. We particularly find Vb/tennis, Vb/golf, or Vb/equestrian to be good fits for our program as well as the Vb/basketball types that are always out there (vb/bb candidates would need to be strong academically and physically as they would get no breaks between seasons).
After April much of our financial aid/academic scholarship money begins to dry-up so it is important for those that are interested apply to our school quickly (with unofficial transcripts and test scores) and get us there FAFSA paperwork in the next 6 weeks. (Academically strong would get the best financial aid packages during this spring period of applications.)
We are always looking late for those elusive players with “middle” experience! We would love for them to be tall, but more importantly they need to be fast with good vertical jumps. That will be successful in our league and many times those are the middles that are still out there looking for a place to play.

What to Know about MCU and MCU Volleyball:
If you are looking for a ginormous school where you get lost in the class of 500 students and you don’t really know your professors or anyone outside of your team, you won’t like Mid-Continent. We are a connected community with small class sizes and professors, coaches, and administration that care about YOU. You won’t just be a number, you will BE KNOWN. We are a Christian institution with on-campus chapel, community service, and open prayer. We do not require our students to be a Christian, but we do ask that when choosing Mid-Continent that he or she is open to learning about faith, the Bible, and Jesus. As I go into my second year as the head coach (MCU grad in 2012), I know that God has placed me here. So, this program is centered around glorifying Him through the talents and love of sport that He has placed in our hearts. We will train and prepare to win, but winning is not my only focus. I believe in establishing an environment that is fun, energized, and supportive for the whole team. I would love to hear from you if you have an interest in MCU and MCU volleyball!

Ken Carver
325-649-8813
Howard Payne is a NCAA Division III program so we do not offer any athletic scholarships. That being said our academic merit scholarships or very competitive and for the high-end academic recruit, the academic merit scholarships can provide an almost 50% discount off the cost to attend school. Our university’s minimum standards to be admitted unconditionally are a 3.00 cumulative GPA, and either a 19 ACT or 910 SAT. With regards to the positions I am still looking for, I would like the OH recruit to be 5’9″ or taller, but will consider 5’7″ or 5’8″ if they possess an above average explosiveness. With regards to the MH recruits, I would be looking for recruits who are 5’10” or taller, but again would be open to considering recruits 5’9″ who possess an above average level of explosiveness. Our program is coming off the most wins since 1996 and we just missed qualifying for our conference’s post-season tournament so we have a lot of good things going for us heading into this upcoming year. We already have 6 new commitments that I’m really excited about, so I’m looking to finalize our recruiting class with 3 more good players who will help us continue moving our program in a positive direction.
