Recruiting Tip: Evernote for Success in College Recruiting
Success with the recruiting process does not come easy! Organization is critical to stay on track communicating with coaches. If you have begun this process on your own, you have likely found yourself completely overwhelmed. You may be wondering how often you need to be sending emails, what kind of updates to include, and how to create a strategy for success. I’d highly recommend the application Evernote to stay on track. Evernote is an incredible resource to keep you organized! You can use this application several ways, however I recommend creating a notebook for each college program. As you have updates, or a coach has a request, you can log each correspondence. You can even set reminders to perform certain tasks, and the application will notify you.
Evernote will sync with all your devices. In this day in age, it’s not uncommon for teenagers to carry smartphones. Evernote will sync to your iPhone, iPad, desktop computer (PC or Apple) since it’s cloud based. I love that I can send notes to my clients while they are in school to help them prepare for phone calls. They are also able to share their notebooks with me so I can better understand what is going on with them throughout the process. Parents have access to the notes, and can also contribute as it becomes necessary.
